Jerry:

We are obviously needing to have an argument about copyright laws, downloading, etc. As a musician, my first complaint is that none of of your copyright related groups seem to care about the desires of the people who create the content -- musicians, actors, film editors, directors, sound mixers, songwriters, camerapeople etc.

Now personally I would NEVER sign a contract with "big music", but many many performers have, and have made a life out of it. The notion that their life creations are YOURS to have at will is silly. You need to reimburse them soemhow. Otherwise the Golden Age Goose is already cooked.

Jerry there is nothing more frustrating than unacknowledged commentary.

It's because of download happy pirates that I have to endure two minutes of copyright warnings and entry screens every time my kids want to watch a freaking DVD THAT I PAID FOR.

Maybe we should go to war with China just to eliminate this frustration of mine. The US army can teach people to respect intellectual property laws.
