Wow ya'll have flipped. The America is facist argument itself is certainly convincing, but as hysterical as the anti-commie McCarthy crap.
Tell you what -- I'll buy the notion that the Bush Administration operates in a seemingly facist manner to its opposition. But the true difference -- and what sets America apart -- is that we decided to invite all Presidents to quite after 2 elected terms in office.
Gee. Wasn't FDR the only President re-elected repeatedly in a fashion that would smack of the the control of government usually sought by facists?
But I digress. I'll believe that we really are in facist state if either Bush won't leave after 2008, or if his brother gets elected President in 2008. Then we've got a problem worthy of hysterics.
They facist hysteria has by no mean reached the red scare levels of the Mccarthy era. In fact I'm of the opinion that most of america is a sleep to the facts. Perhaps brainwashed by the Bush/Rove propaganda machine.
