California has needed a geographical split since about 1920 -- based upon water rights. But a split California would probably also yield two red states. If the shoe fits . . .
And Oregon without Portland and Washington without Seattle would still be MIGHTY FINE places to reside. Come to think of it, how about rural Illinois without Chicagoland . . .; 12:15 AM
